Recycling material

Not all recycled clothing programs are created equal. However, Kangol’s responsible styles truly save all odds and ends of scrapped pieces from cutting the fabric panels.

What does this mean, you ask?

These are fibers obtained by transforming waste that has been meticulously sorted and processed to be reused for making new clothing and, therefore, upgraded.

In the textile field, waste is collected so that the leftover yarn and fabric scraps result in a whole new garment.

Wastewater Treatment

Water is utilized for cleaning the raw material and for the different steps in the textile dyeing process.

So we make sure to use water drums that the raw effluent was pumped from the primary holding tank through a self-cleaning filter to extract the suspended solids.

The pre-screened wastewater stream exited the self-cleaning filter and was collected in a tank to be reused over and over again.

Natural Dyes

The development and use of dyes made entirely of natural ingredients is a key part of the process.

In addition to using renewable resources, this type of dyeing process leaves zero traces of chemicals in its wastewater.

In order for Kangol to offer a wide variety of colours, it uses a panoply of plants, spices, and fruits, such as tea, turmeric, pomegranate, eucalyptus, and many more.

Not only are these dyeing processes more sustainable, but they're also entirely natural and gentle on your skin.
